CCZT Newsletter – September 2023

Dear Prayer Partners and Supporters,

Below are the latest praise and prayer items for the month.

The College:

  • We thank the Lord for good health for all our students and lecturers thus far.
  • We thank God that Rev. Johannes Aucamp managed to finish his lectures and travelled to Mozambique safely. He is currently in Malawi for more mission work.
  • Thankful too that Rev. Albert Ngoma was next after Rev. Aucamp, and he taught for two weeks. The other lecturers who taught in the month of August were Pastors German Banda, Lichawa Thole, Musonda Mwenya and Principal Sakala.
  • We finally managed to process all the registration papers for our new Toyota 4×4 Hilux vehicle, and it is now in use at the college. We remain grateful to God for all who supported in this venture.
  • Please pray for us to find an alternative internet connection as the current outdoor antenna provided by Liquid Telecoms is not performing well. Our communication is greatly hindered as a result.
  • We will soon be having the block class students returning for their second one weeklong residential study in October and November. So far, we have 64 students registered for the program. Please pray for success.
  • Please continue to pray for a successful conclusion on the process of separating the farm from the college. Currently, Quadraat Global of the Netherlands are finalizing on the Business and Investment Plan which will be studied by the Trustees before implementation.
  • We are expecting a very important visitor to our college this November, Rev. Dr Andrew W. Young coming from Manurewa, Auckland, New Zealand. Dr Young is also associated with the Banner of Truth Trust and has written several good spiritual books. Please pray for the success of this trip.
  • In view of the pending separation of the farm from the college, we have suspended the employment for the farm manager, and assistant farm manager. Nevertheless, we continue praying for the recruitment for a secretary at the college.

The farm:

  • As stated above, please continue to pray for a smooth transition of operations at the farm as the Quadraat Global team finalise the Business Plan.
  • Before the end of this month, we intend to sell the fish from our maiden fish-pond project.
  • Please pray for the successful re-routing of the new road from our college to the main road which is still in progress.
  • We finally managed to sell off all our farm goats as we had informed you in our previous prayer letter. The main reason for this decision is the impending separation of the farm from the college.
  • This also means that other farm activities will have to be put on hold until the new business starts.
  • We thank God that we have an outlet for selling our pigs. Thus, we managed to sell more than 15 pigs and next month we may sell about 20.
  • Unfortunately, the Hammer mill and Oil expeller are underperforming. If this trend continues, we may be forced to shut them down to reduce on running costs.

Christian Education Ministry:

  • We are grateful for the special youth evangelism lessons our sister Daisy conducted in 2 villages during the last school holidays. Please pray for fruit in the lives of the teenagers who attended the 6 lessons.
  • Pray also for Daisy when as she resumes school visits this month. Pray for her travel mercies and wisdom as she interacts with the school teachers.
  • Please pray for the pending vacancy of a Local Coordinator.
  • Please pray for the Saturday Children’s ministry led by our sister Daisy and the ministry for the youths (teenagers) under Gertrude Banda at the college.
  • We thank the Lord that in August our sister Marjanne was able to conduct training for the certificate students at our college and held a symposium at the Zambian Reformed Conference in Lusaka.
  • We are grateful for the safe arrival of Marjanne in The Netherlands, from where she will work on the project of Bible movies the coming months Lord willing. Pray for the mission meetings that are scheduled for this month as well.
  • Continue to pray for the current team responsible for translation of Bible movies in various countries. We are thankful for the movies in different languages that were made and spread. We are still looking for someone who can continue recording the Arab and Bemba movies.
  • Continue praying for the project of Bible movies that many will be saved through them including children.

Other items:

  • Our Foreman, Nelson Banda, retired in July this year after serving for 19 years. We were able to hold a farewell party for him and gifted him with a bicycle. Please pray for him as he settles down as a retiree
